Corvette exhaust on a 2ss?!

Excuse me if im in the wrong section..

Im wondering if its plausible to go from dual exhaust non npp to center mounted quad tips like the corvette. I think it looks amazing.

Illustration follows.. https://youtu.be/YYCnAN4miyk

I remember this video being shown in another thread months ago and everyone hated it.. Personally I think it's cool, but not enough to do it.

Not too bad! Any idea whether a company sells the rear valence, or if it's custom-made?

That appears to be custom body work. Hot air plastic welding is the strongest method of splicing back most bumper plastics.

Most anything is possible with fabrication skills. This is an in progress pic of the back of an el camino. The tips are magnaflow, not exactly the same as a c-7 , but close enough for the average person.

I can see why most did not like it, not a fan myself. I think the SS factory look is a much better fit for the car. Pipes down the center look cluttered in the back of the back of the car to me

I used to share that opinion but the fact that they come down the center of the car, and there is plenty of room for them to continue down the center of the car, makes routing them out to the sides seem impractical and less functional to me.

Back in the day they were separated full length with a fuel tank in the center rear also so it made sense. Now with this car not so much.

I just don't think it fits the car but to each his own.. I guess after owning a C5 corvette for 13 years and having that exhaust setup I was ready for a change

I can understand that and always crave something unique and different myself. Maybe some separation like an M3? I'll see how my muffler plans work and go from there.

I wonder if it's possible to do this and still keep the npp function. Been thinking about doing this too, but I wasn't sure if getting rid of the npp function on my car would throw off the system or cause any issues.

Not sure about the C7, however when taking delivery of my camaro I heard a few base C8 cold starts, and I have to say, my camaro cold start sounded way better.

This is a very interesting approach... a bit too much for me, but I see the appeal. Good to have options on the wilder side, too.

I’ve been on the forum a long time and missed any discussion about this mod until now. That said - personal taste is just that - each to their own. My take is this looks dumb! Like a corvette wannabe.
