2016 2SS M6 Engine turns slowly but doesn't start

When I got to work and turned off my car today I wanted to move parking spaces because it was a little tight. I tried to turn it on again and it just turned slowly but wouldn't start. With every turn, the lights would dim on and off. I tried 2 more times and then waited 15 minutes and tried again with no luck.

The only other time something like this has happened was a couple times a while back when I stalled. The engine turned slowly but after the 2nd or 3rd time it would start.

Reading online it looks like it could be the battery? What can I do to maybe get out of here at the end of the day?

It sounds like how this guy is explaining in Scenario 3, but slower

Also could be the starter! Do you have headers some run tight to the starter cooking it especially in slow traffic

No headers. Other than the catch-can, i'm completely stock. Lot's of slow traffic though for sure.

UPDATE:

I went to try it again during my lunch hour and it struggled for that first second or so and then it started up normally. Moved it to a different parking space and came back to the office. My guess is the battery was a bit drained? Might go have it looked at tomorrow at the dealer.

Most likely a bad cell in the battery. That’s what makes it somewhat intermittent. you need to take the battery out, to any dealership or any auto parts store and have a “load test” done, not a voltage test. The Camaro batteries have seen a lot of defects.

It also could be bad connections to the battery.

Classic heat soak.

Car sat and cooled down, then started fine.

Battery, positive or ground cable, starter, or any combination are defective.

I'd start with the battery as mentioned above.
