Don't think the split door ever came on the Tahoe but it was common on the Suburban in the 80's. I test drove one before getting one with a tail gate and roll down window. There was a small car behind me and all I could see with the door post in the middle was the guy's outside mirrors.

The colorado looks good in that picture.

Reading through the comments on that page, its obvious there is a lot of missinformation going around right now on those trucks, but I guess thats normal. One guy tried to claim these trucks are a foot wider than a current Tacoma. Riiiiight.

A couple comments that the frame hangs really low below the body. Not sure that I care about that, but I guess some might.

She makes the comment that everything in those trucks was built with fuel savings in mind. I'm not sure if I get that feeling right now to be honest. I hope GM did enough. I'm just praying they get decent fuel mileage...enough to seperate them from the big boys. If not, they had better be priced much more attractively.

Suburbans with the split rear doors are pretty common around here... See them all the time. My buddy has an 02... As mentioned, must just not have been a Tahoe thing.

As far as the Colorado goes, I think they are screwing themselves out of initial sales at launch by holding the diesel option back a year... I think that most people that are actually staying up with the news on this truck and know that a diesel is coming the following year after the launch will wait... And the people that don't know anything about the diesel may kick themselves for buying too early once the diesel option is released. JMO

Split door Suburbans were the must have for contractors around here. Worked better with a long load than a hatch.

I miss my 1998 tailgate Tahoe. Lift window drop the tailgate...a nice seat and an overhang for shade.

That'd be pretty nice to have. I use the Envoy's liftgate for a roof all the time.

Shouldn't MPG and pricing be shown sometime soon for Colorado?
