Picking it up tomorrow! Swapping the tires out for all season ones immediately after I leave the dealership.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. With 250+ miles between the dealership and home, I decided it wasn't worth the stress to drive on the stock tires. I'm putting on a fresh pair of all season Continental DWS06 Plus as soon as I leave the dealership before I make the maiden voyage home.

Well there you go! That's a solution that may lighten your wallet but the trade off is peace of mind and an improved safety margin for bad/cold weather situations.

Congrats on the new ride and enjoy!

Sounds like you're making the right choice for safety. Meanwhile my dealer is going to deliver my SS 1LE tomorrow when it's supposed to be 25F out, and they had zero concerns about the SC3 tires in the cold. Hopefully they take it easy as I know when I drive my Mustang in that kind of cold the lack of grip can be comical at times.

Went with Lannan Chevy in MA since they had the exact car I wanted. Would've preferred Banks, but didn't feel like waiting 1+ year for a custom order delivery.

If you're driving 250 miles, and changing out the tires in the area where you're buying the car, how are you getting the original tires back home?

Why not rent a U-Haul trailer and tow it home? That's how I got mine back to CT... Then everything I did to it was done "near home".

I chose those same tires on mine, although I had the dealer swap them before I took delivery. I was happy I did since it was snowing and cold they day we finalized the paperwork and I brought her home. Snow/Ice mode helped, as did the M6, but good quality rubber for the conditions should never be underestimated.

Based on what I have seen, all 4 should have no problem fitting in the car! Wish me luck!

See this post if interested in selling:

Some tips on getting the old tires in the car:

I would suggest selling the run-flats based on how you described yourself. The advantages of those tires in summer are minimal, and there are clear problems keeping them on in winter as well as noise and wet traction issues.

They will fit if you have no passengers. Make sure you ask for tire bags.
