How many busted radiators?

Just got word back from the dealership today, busted my radiator on a rock. I've seen some posts here about that happening to a few people.

I'd like to get some feedback on which radiator the rock hit and how much it was to repair.

Thanks.

The main radiator, or one of the side radiators? To break the main one you first have to get through the A/C condenser.

My coolant was leaking from the center, middle. It was intermittently coming out in spurts and a finer mist. Maybe it did go past my condenser, will find out for sure tonight when I go to pick her up.

Not sure how big the rock was, will update with pictures once I go to pick her up.

I'm just looking to get some feedback on how common this is. It's really for me to see if I'm just super unlucky or if I should adjust my driving distance because rocks will continue to do damage to the radiator. I've seen at least 2 other people on this forum this happened to, however I think I'm the only person that got hit in the main radiator.

Well, it definitely was something hard. It almost looks too circular to be a rock. Anyone have any ideas?

At this point guessing would be for fun, it's already been replaced and paid for.

A rock guard for the radiator? Would you mind sharing a link for that? I actually asked about that at the dealership, no one had a clue.

Had the car 6 months and a rock has broken a windshield and a radiator, can't keep affording these 'accidents'.

No idea how to share a link. But goto ZL1-add on's and looks up grills screen. You have to remove the front bumper but seems to work well

No worries, I found it, thanks for the heads up. Unfortunately that grill screen wouldn't have helped me in my situation. If you look at this picture, you can see the top half is still open, which is right where my rock went. Maybe I can grab two and cut to fit? I'll have to look into that a bit more.

Just got my rock guard from ZL1ADDONS yesterday and will have it put on when I get my new front bumper cover installed.. Realistically this is something that should have been thought of before from factory. I had a set up on my previous Honda using black coated gutter guards and zip ties.

Get 3 gutter guards (metal mesh-like) from home depot, 2 on the bottom and one on the top. Paint it black, drop the bumper, cut if to size, then install it against the bumper grille using zip ties.
