Hey guys, I'm having trouble finding the slip tables. I've got the latest VCM suite (full and beta) and I'm looking at my tabs under Transmission and am not seeing what King has pictured above. Under Trans I see 5 tabs: Manual, Shift General, Shift Scheduling, Torque Converter, and Torque Management. Do I have to enable something special to see it?

I've got a 2016 SS and have it tuned. Last year I started having the dreaded shudder and took it in. They did the 3 fluid swaps and seemed good to go. I converted to e85 around that time and asked my tuner to zero out my slip tables just in case as I was hearing the shudder would probably come back. Well, I've been good up until a week ago and I'll be damned, the shudder came back. So, I was wanting to verify that the tables were in fact zeroed out but, can't find them. Can somebody point me in the right direction and help a brother out?

thanks so much

Darth

Here you go, Sith. VCM Suite 4.4.2, not beta, open window is for 1st gear.

So after further tinkering I figured out the harsh downshifts wasn't due to the slip tables at all. The actual culprit is the WOT TCC lock up tables. Since I don't lock my converter part throttle till 8th gear 55mph, I adjusted my TCC WOT lock table so the converter doesn't lock until 4th gear @ 90mph. Down shift, Up shift, part throttle cruise is the absolute best this transmission has ever been. It also hits harder from a roll now because the converter flashes higher on the hit.

So basically I think what was going on is the TCC part throttle lockup tables and WOT lock up tables are tuned to work together. Since I don't lock my converter part throttle, when I went to down shift the converter would lock then unlock and then down shift harshly. I needed to change the WOT lock up speeds so the TCM wasn't trying to lock the converter right away on the down shift.

Hope that makes sense. Lol

Yes in the performance pages. Trans never goes above 150.

I'll take a screenshot when I get to my laptop. This might actually benefit the centri guys still running the stock converter.

This is what I see. What the hell? Why do you guys have full access to the torque converter stuff and I get Shift Lock Disable/Enable and that's it? I've got the latest version of both suites so, if it's there on your earlier version, it should be on the latest, right?

Also, I looked up the change log of what the tuner did and he did zero out the slip tables. I can bring that up. But, I can't bring it up for me to look at in the main editor. Hopefully, there's somebody that can tell me how to do this.

thanks for any help

Darth

Maybe he is in “Basic” view? Need to be in “Advanced” view to see all the good stuff.

OK, I'll try rereading all my controllers tomorrow.

Where is the setting for "basic/advanced" view?

thanks

lol yeah it was in basic as opposed to advanced. Now I can see everything.

thanks guys.

Now I have to figure out the best course of action since I've got the shudder again with the slip tables zeroed. I think I'm going to take her into a different dealership than the one that did the triple flush and get whatever recall done as well as hand them the TSB for the new fluid replacement where you don't need to verify there's a problem.

If they refuse, for whatever reason, I may try doing a drain and fill myself.

However, I'm intrigued by King's efforts and think I'll follow his lead on the slip tables and try them myself. There's some really good info in this thread.

thanks very much again guys

On your WOT apply and release, have you noticed a more linear rpm acceleration from a stop? I have an A10 that is just so lazy out the hole at the track. It doesnt start to ramp up the rpm linearly untill around 11-12mph or 2500ish rpm. I noticed that the WOT converter setting showed it locking up at around 12mph.

What are your thoughts?
