Can someone explain to me what happened here?

Pulling into work, heard a nice knock and crunch come from the front driver side wheel. Turned the wheel and I see this

I contacted BMR since that's where I bought the front end links from. They asked me what that metal piece was hanging by the end link. I wasnt able to get under the car since I was at work so I drove home.It was pouring rain so I wasn't able to put it up on a jack and remove the wheel. Took some pics and this is what it looked like from the front.

I'm just confused, if the sway bar did snap, which looks to be the case, how did the end link unscrew itself from the rod? And if the Sway Bar did snap, why is said screw still hanging on by the Sway Bar and not sitting in the End Link?

2011 Camaro SS LS3
End Links are BMR
Front Sway Bar is Pfadt
Adjustable Coilovers are BC Racing

Any thoughts, upgrade suggestions are appreciated thanks. List of mods done to car

2011 Camaro 2SS LS3 564rwhp Torque I'd have to look that up again

Was able to take the wheel off off this morning. Sway Bar is actually fine! Weirdly enough I was actually able to Slide the end link bolt into the rod...

Looks to me like it stripped out of the end of the link. Maybe not enough thread engagement when installed? Not sure.

BMR basically said this as well, wonder if not enough threads engaged before it pulled out."

Guess I'll be looking into this in the cold tonight, Yay.

Oh I know as well. Had the rear loosen up and then break on me and had the front passenger bend as well.

I've only broken ones on the back, twice. You really did something special to bend the front one. Most likely a pothole or something like that.
