Did you fit the tires on stock wheels? I didn’t know we can go up to 305! Did you keep the front 245s?

305/35/20 fit just fine on the stock 9.5" wheels. Technically they say you shouldn't do it. I did and have not had any problems except they wear fast. They do hook great though....when new. I'm almost to the wear bars and they're fading fast. I've had them on since 4/29/2019. Looks like it'll be 2 sets a summer for me, but it's worth it.

To clarify..I'm talking street use without heating them up like at the strip. At the strip, even though they're worn...they still hook when heated up.

Damn, I will do the same!

What about the fronts? Did you keep the 245 tires?

I dont know if it helps because it's a different tire, but I had 295x30 put on the back of my stock rims with ps4's. If you hit a bump at anything over 90, you hear a slight rubbing sound from the back.

I relocated the wiring harness on the drivers side.

Do they wear fast because of the nature of the tires you fitted, or it has to do with the bulging?

There was no bulging. They wear fast as they're a 100 tread wear tire...and the way I drive.

No bulging after fitting 305's on the stock 9.5" wheel? Interesting.

What I learned is that 305 on 9.5 rim just makes the complete tire more narrow. I guess the low profile theres not enough to bow out over the rim. When you look at the 305 on the rim vs off it looks way smaller. The contact patch srinks as well. but it can work just fine. Tire rack says .2 for evey half inch of rim off recomened I would say thats close

Question for the op. What did u set the speedomter at? Like with hp tuners. Its such a guess with hp. 26.95 is default and the tire is actuly 27.6 But its about right with that setting. BIG CONGRATS on that 3.5. My procharger Camaro spins so much its hard to get below 4.0. I did get a 3.7 a couple of times with the toyo r888s. Heated or no seems to make no dif for me with that tire. Thing it was a 315/30 set 27.12 in hp Yes it is taller than the 275/35 although its not supposede to be. Verfied with gps

I finally picked up a set of these tires for my stock wheels as well. They are beefy! They're as big as I'd dare go on these wheels. But so far they seem to be very solid. Looking forward to a good chance to get on it and test out some hopefully improved traction...!

27.9...I measured the tire height with a tape measure and straight edge then verified with gps.

I pulled a couple 3.3's with the Whipple setup after I got the install done and tune dialed and called it good. I think I could get it down to 3.0 with some more attempts.

Looks good! I have been really impressed with these tires all around.

What psi do you run when just cruising?
