victor jr intake and carb setup?

So I have a crazy idea. What would it take to run a Victor intake and Hp carb? Can I install the setup and run a regulator with the stock fuel system to drop the pressure for the carb. Then simply swap back to the stock setup for emissions?

What else would be needed to do this? Or is this not possible

If all you care about is achieving a look then get an injected carb style intake and then a Mast DBW throttle body adapter, you'd just need a speed density tune and confirm hood clearance with an air filter of choice. Thats been floating around in my head for a play on an SS 454 with an LSX in an old chevelle or something. But in a new car? Whats the point?

Converting to carb requires an ignition module and I wouldn't run an injected fuel system regulated below 10psi but thats just me. You'd need a lot of ECU trickery too since most people doing this put it in old cars without the electronics. Its a lot of butt pain for no real reason and crappy gas mileage.

Not for a look, pure performance aspect! Wondering what a setup like that would do with some head work and a different cam. My concerns are the computer though, if it's to much to deal with on that end, then no it's not worth it.

Interesting, now I wonder what the gains would be using a intake like that with the proper cam.

I just switched from a gmpp lsx/ls7 intake to a mast 4500 and down draft TB. I will have dyno results this coming week...and hopefully have track time this coming week as well! It looks BA under the hood! I will grab some pics on wed once it is tuned. I modified everything to work with my stock dbw setup to
