Length (From back of block to front of engine - crank pulley) 27.1 in / 688 mm Width (Across Timing Belt Cover) 30.25 in / 769 mm Width (Across Rear of Cylinder Headers) 29.1 in / 740 mm Height (From Crankshaft Centerline to Top of Throttle Body Motors) 17.1 in / 435 mm Weight (Without Accessory Drive) 498 lb / 226 kg I found this on the Corvette forum for the LS7 --- 1. crank centerline to top of intake at 18.5" 2. overall width at the outside of the exhaust manifolds at 28".

Not sure... I think my post was wrong, so, I took out my comment... It says Width (Across Rear of Cylinder Headers) and I read Width (across rear of Cylinder heads).... So, I think I added too much for the exhaust manifolds... Instead of adding 3" on each side for the exhaust, it is probably more like 1" or 2" compared to headers... So, the motor could be closer to 4" or 5" wider than the LS7

Looks like plenty of room to fit a DOHC V8 90 degree power plant to me...

That Mercury Racing motor even detained to 650 hp is a great solution for GM for Z/28. NA and 8,000 RPM redline. What is not to like!
