Was going to order a base LT1 :(

So, I was really set on ordering a 2022 Camaro LT1 in summit white with a manual transmission and NO OPTIONS. Cannot beat the price for the performance for a new car! Tried to find a local dealer with a newer Camaro on the lot, luckily McCarthy Chevy had a 2021 Camaro 2SS with the 10 speed auto in black. Car had 10k miles and they wanted $52k for it!!!He said the guy traded it in for a used Mustang GT. Makes no sense. Anywho I sat in it and did not like the huge car feel. Wasn't for me. I had a C6 and a C5 corvette in the past so I was used to seeing a huge hood , but the windshield on the Camaro seemed a bit smaller and basically all the windows honestly. Not my cup of tea. Glad I got to see one in person before trying to order one. Respect all you guys who can drive these huge things Could only imagine what it would feel like in a Challenger or Charger, those are the true land yachts.

Anyone ever order a no option Lt1 with the 6 speed?

Come to a 6th Gen Camaro site to bash 6th Gen Camaros? Not the best way to start with post #1.

Seriously? It’s not supposed to be a Miata. I used to own a 67 and when behind the wheel it’s really no different than that car. Every generation has been true to this formula for the last 55 years. If you’re looking for smaller fun I’d recommend a new Corolla GR or the upcoming Nissan Z.

So what is the point of this thread? You hate the "huge" Camaro but you want to order one??? I have a 6 spd LT-1 with three options.

Well, the base LT1 is also "huge" at a mere 60 pounds lighter than a 1SS. You may want a Miata instead.

Anyone that calls the 6th gen “huge” is not making sense. Compared to a Fiat or Mini Cooper maybe, but compared to sports/muscle cars…come on?!? lol

First of all THIS IS A TERRIBLE TIME TO BUY A CAR!!! I'd wait of you can!

Great time to sell though!!

Having owned a ZL1, Hellcat and now a GT500. The camaro and mustang are not what I'd consider "huge" but they are quite large for 2-door cars. The camaro and mustang "form factor" in my garage isn't much different than the challenger was TBH.

I own an ND2 Miata m6 and it isn't very fast or have a great v8 sound but I do sometimes (depending on my mood) find it more fun to drive on the back roads than any of my current and past cars (including the GT500 and ZL1).
If you want something smaller that's quick and fun you may also want to consider the new Supra or 400Z.

My new 6th Gen 2SS is smaller then the 5th Gen I had previously. Coming straight from one to the other it's amazing how much different they really are.

I, however, am a big man so the Miata thing is not really an option. My daughter has one and only if she has the top off can I get in it.

Considering all the previous Corvette stuff that has been passed down to the 6th Gen, when I compare my car to the boss mans 2016 Corvette I am basically driving a C7 Stingray. It handles different/better than the 5th Gen, it builds speed quicker, and rotates in the corners way better.

For the money, I think it is a great car.

nice, you are right about that. the market is retarded. basically have to order a new car since nothing really is in stock. I have a friend who ordered a new maverick september of last year. still waiting since his is the base, bare bones hybrid. the gr86 seems like a fun car too. dont need to have a ton of power to have fun. some people don't realize that.
