Exhaust NPP valve delete - Help

Hi All,

I have a borla exhaust on my ZLE and recently took it to a track day. On the exhaust tips that do not have the valve, I noticed cracking and discoloration on the inside carbon fiber tip. This leads me to believe that the section that is not fully open with the valve is getting hotter than the one with the valve.

Is there a way to delete this and not get a code? I found AWE AFM delete, but my car is a M6, and it says those are for auto cars.

Anyone have experience with this?

Thank you!

Just enable Track mode in sound management control and they stay open under track conditions. Under WOT in any sound management mode the NPP will open (I believe even in stealth).

AFM is not NPP. ZL1's do not have the AFM valves.

Sounds like you have a quality control issue with the carbon fiber tips from Borla.

+1...dont kill the functionality of your NPP to accommodate a faulty exhaust tip. Contact Borla and get a replacement.

Yeah, I removed the tips. Unfortunately Borla didn't want to stand behind their product so I will remedy it on my own.

Thanks for the info, this is what I needed to know.

What did Borla say about the tips? I thought they were usually pretty good at standing behind their products.
