  • HYDROSPEED CERAMIC QUICK DETAILER
  • BIG MOUTH PRESSURE WASHER FOAMING STARTER KIT
  • DIABLO GEL OXYGEN INFUSED FOAM WHEEL AND RIM CLEANER
  • TIRE+TRIM GEL PLASTIC AND RUBBER HIGH-GLOSS RESTORER AND PROTECTANT
  • Towels, brushes, applicators, buckets, etc
what kind of coating does your camaro have?

If your car is coated, i would not use an SIO2 infused soap. some people do, but my research and experience is that these products are not the best soaps, and they are also not the best SIO2/coating boosters. The SIO2 infused soaps sometimes dont work well with the type of coating you have and your car actually looks worse than before the wash. not going to be a day and night thing, but if you are looking for the most gloss, pop, etc., and the most durability out of your coating, i wouldnt do it.

The quick detailer should really only be used as a drying aid when the car is clean. not enough lubricity if at all dirty or dusty. I would use a waterless or rinseless wash like i linked earlier if you are trying to touch up a slightly dusty car, bugs, etc. Some people have a higher tolerance for micro marring, but i try to avoid it as much as possible. my car is also always garaged and it doesnt ever get too dirty.

If you have a good quality coating, i would use a non coating SIO2 product soap, and a proven good matching drying aid that helps protect the coating and is proven to work well with it. Also the drying aid helps avoid micro marring as you dry, helps with water spots and i thiink they work better as coating boosters generally than a soap.

I have tried a bunch of different tire products and not really super happy with any of them. I think my favorite so far is carpro perl. you can use it on interiors depending on the dilution, and it is meant to be diluted even for tires so you can control how much shine you get. sometimes i have to add more product to get rid of slight streaking though.

on towels: like i said griots pfm is the best drying towel i have ever used by far. expensive but worth it.

I use these for washing my car. low pile so they dont trap dirt as easily and as you fold them you can easily see if there is any dirt in the towel. I buy two - three packs since I use 12-14 every time i wash my car. wash my car twice, throw all of them in the wash.

for interior and wheels, i use the costco yellow towels. they are cheap enough i just usually use the interior towel to wipe the dash, interior etc., then use the towel for the wheels that day, and throw it out.

i really like this interior cleaner.

I think if you factor in how long the pro grade stuff lasts considering you are supposed to dilute it, it ends up being a better value, but it also is a better product.

the cleaners and soaps, etc., probably are okay if you go with CG though, what i would definately not use from them is any polishes/compounds, pads etc. it has been a year or two since i looked into it, but their tech around this has been substianly worse than products like 3d one, sonax perfect finish, menzerna, etc.

I used CG heavy water spot remover (not sure if exact name). It pretty much screwed up my windshield. I know have what looks to be a permanent light fog on my windshield. Since this I have not used and will never use CG products again. Before all questions, I did apply and remove their product exactly as label said to use.

I have gone back to meguiars products.

I use Mr. Pink soap in my foam cannon, and the quick interior detailer inside. They have a ton of products, but those are the ones I've just really stuck with across our cars. Their towels are good. I cycle a six pack of them out every few months, and use the older ones for wheels or whatever, until they get cut to shop rags.

I might hit a Cars and Coffe this Sat. at a Chemucal Guy's store. I had no idea there was such a thing. I might bring back some goodies if I go.

The only CG product I've used is there gloss detail spray V7. No complaints, does a real nice job on a gloss black car.

I've used CG in the past and had good results in my opinion with my black cars. Still use their foam cannon.

I switched to Collinite which is pretty much the only stuff I use on my boat and the difference is noticeable...meaning better. Only thing is with Collinite READ THE DIRECTIONS! I made the mistake of leaving their paste wax (fleet wax i think it was) on too long, and almost had a heart attack when I couldn't get it off. My girlfriend of all people was like "reapply it over the top and try buffing it off" and it worked like a charm. So lesson learned. Give their stuff a try its extremely well respected in the marine/aviation industries...don't really hear about it with cars though.

When I was first learning detailing, CG was producing regular video content. I watched and learned a lot from them. Its not easy to produce that quality of video. Even though it is advertising, there is good information for new detailers.
