ATF fluid drain / flush

i'm not sure if there are any differences in how you would go about the process with an 8L45 vs 8L90...but i have the 45.

My plan was to use the fill check hole and suck out all of the fluid via a straw that bends back down to the bottom of the pan (hopefully).

Once the first drain is finished, drop the pan, clean it .put new filter in..put pan back and fill however much i took out.

Drive around to mix the old and new fluid.

Repeat the process (without the pan drop) until 12 quarts of new fluid are put in.

Then finally get it up to operating temp and check the level and fill / drain accordingly.

Is that how people are doing it? I think the hardest part is going to be getting that straw to loop down to the bottom of the pan from that check hole.
