Checked the other side. 2.5 all around to the line. Not going to change it. It's already low enough that curbs are an issue and my ramps need extenders. If it's a safety or performance issue, then I may change my mind.

Bring It

For those that do have the gaps and are not intending to do the replacements, I'm curious about that decision. GM doesn't do anything for free unless they have determined NOT doing something will end up costing them more in the end. As a result, this would seem like much more than a "looks" correction.

This is what I would like clarification on...if it's looks, I don't care.
If it was going to cost them more then I would think it would be a recall?? Wish someone in the know could confirm...I'm also assuming the taller springs were run at the ring' & the ones on all the initial testing?? If so, I have to feel it is cosmetics. Quote:

The date on my door sill sticker says 04/17.
Measurement from floor to fender: Rear 28" Front 28" The front gap is larger by about .50" from the rear. Will new springs change this front measurement? |

Ok, I just measured mine and the fronts are 2 7/8" and the rears are 1 7/8". So is that correct or not? Build date end of March.

Guessing the key here is to measure with the car on a flat level surface like your garage floor. First time i measured was in the parking lot at work. 2 and 3/4 on the front. Sounded too low for old springs and too tall for new ones. Later I measured with it in the garage. 2 and 1/4 on all 4 corners. Build date was 4/13. Looking at parking lot there is a slight incline and a couple of impressions the rears may have been sitting in.
