Yep, the recent order constraints are backing that up, unless they are retooling for zl1 production to start.

I think what it's a real sign of is that GM priced it too high to begin with. They priced the entire Camaro lineup about $3k too high, at all trim levels.

I agree they bumped up the price a bit too much too fast over the Gen5 for the typical Camaro buyer. I think the enthusiast focused SS trims are worth the money considering the tech and performance they offer over the competition however, I think the sales leading 1LT/2LT trims were priced too high. The potential 1LT/2LT buyer would easily cross shop a T4 or V6 Mustang and prefer the cheaper car.

The SS is not only $1100 higher than the GT mustang. Not the case anymore as Ford has raised their prices.

Completely. Missing. The. Point.

Everyone wants cheaper... I hope they reduce their prices even more! That's probably unlikely, though...

Quick question regarding the 1LT Manual/1LT Automatic prices. The prices posted by Becky in the price thread only show a $695 difference between the auto and manual coupes. As we know the A8 option is normally $1495. I'm just curious- does the A8 in the 1LT now have a cheaper starting price? Not sure if I'm missing anything. Thanks!

GM is just admitting that the 1LT is the new LS model. The difference in the LT's between Manual & Automatic go a little further than just the transmission. The Manual has the same driveline & differential as the SS, which costs more than the cheaper components used with the Automatic on LT models.

Also, GM is applying a similar discount to the LT preferred package which includes Automatic, black wheels and a package discount.

Thanks for explaining.

I wondering when Chevy.com will be updated with this information?

Read his posts in other threads and you'll understand. I just wanted to head him off before he derailed this thread too.
