I'm trying to a cam dead last I have a semi-aggressive goal for for a streetable DD setup.
It was probably right around 6,700. I know i hit my 6,800 rev limiter just after the 114 mph run. I like revving high, I have my shift light set at 6,300 so I probably shift around 6,400.

I had 4.10 gears and then stepped up to 4.57s, I never looked back. I also decided not to put my cam in. I too want to maximize my stock internals set up to see how fast I can go. So I will be saving my pennies for a 9" set up with probably 4.30 gears.

Where do you shift this car at? My shift points are at 6000. I don't think I can do the 1/4 with 3.91's, though if I could I would try a set SI.

Sorry, that first part was about this car, the second part was about my last car. I shift at about 6,400.

I guess I can let the cat out of the bag now. I bought this DSS 9" kit off my buddy for dirt cheap. He had 3.70s in it and I finally got off my ass and ordered some 4.57s. Dropped off the center section to get them installed today. Should be ready tomorrow.

I did the math and with my shorter tires this will be like drivng around with stock wheels and 4.88 gears!

Started the rear end swap today.

Also got her dynoed, gonna do it again in s couple of weeks to see how much power the 9" gobbled up.

And finally I've been driving my car like a grandma to see how high I can get my mpg. This was with about 90% street diving.
