Question for Baltimore MD area people about stock Goodyear Run Flats

Drove my 22 Camaro 1SS to Ocean Coty this past weekend for the car show, was the first trip I’ve taken in the car, I was wondering how the Stock Goodyear Run-flats handled bumps, namely I-97 around Glen Burnie. I drive it often in my SUV or my wife’s SUV and maybe running at 67-70mph bumps at the bridges just felt absolutely horrible, mainly going on to overpasses. I’m wondering if it’s just the cars suspension or the tires specifically that made it so bad. Getting on the ramp to 695 West from I 97 was the worst. Anyone else have similar experiences, I’ve never had a 4th or 5th Gen camaro that hit bumps that hard before.

Magnetic ride control equipped trims are better, but I think the majority of the problem comes from the near-concrete sidewalls of your runflats. I switched to Michelin PS4S for the street years ago and never looked back.

I drive that area, the stock run flats are just horrifying uncomfortable. I swapped to Firestone Indy 500s and they are so much smoother riding. It still isn't the best area to drive through, but it won't rattle your teeth out.

Thank you for the response, I was just wondering because I’ve never had a car whether it been my past 4th Gen or 5th Gen cars that took a bump that hard it was a first for me and big contrast when I’m used to driving SUV’s on that stretch of road. Nothing on my entire drive was nearly as bad as that specific area either. I wanted to make sure it wasn’t mainly the standard non Magnetic Ride Control suspension on my car being that rough.

It isn't the most compliant suspension - it is a tightened down sports car, but changing to non runflats definitely helped.
