“We adjusted the air to fuel ratio, ignition timing advance, DI injection timing, DI rail pressure, and variable cam phasing angles. We confirmed that our calibration changes were in fact taking effect, but none of them led to measurably significant power gains.”

Companies make big claims all the time (Vararam ZL1 intake ring a bell). Until a product is delivered into the hands of consumers, I will remain a skeptic.

I think the bigger news is that once any company cracks it, others will follow so its good news for C8 and possibly Blackwing owners.

I run a Trifecta tune on my daily driver GMC Canyon and its quite impressive for a canned tune.

They also cracked the blackwings as well. https://www.google.com/amp/s/gmautho...ost-gauge/amp/

Someone feels Trifecta's announcement may have just screwed the community. Watch...

I guess I am a little confused about the C8's ECU being hacked, so to speak. There is a local guy with a C8 and a set of twin turbos pushing over 800 HP, not sure if that is RWHP or crank. It has a custom intake manifold and i believe different injectors. The car was built by Cicio Performance. I can only assume this set up required a tune. Let me know if I am wrong; I thought the ECU was already cracked on the C8.

They were probably running a piggy back computer. It’s a computer you run in line with the stock ECU but allows you to change some of the parameters, without having access to the factory computer.

Did it help with shift points? Happen to have a dyno before/after? I'm interested b/c the lazy shift points/responsiveness for MPG annoy me on my Colorado.

All Cicio performance builds I have seen they have ran a second ecu. They make some bad ass rides.

A stand-alone ECU is going to be the best option for modding any new cars in the future. The performance automotive industry is slowly becoming a thing of the past.
