Thanks Fen...no posts to this thread in 5 days. Things were starting to feel stale! lol

Not surprised, but it seems to me that the new Colorado is heading the direction of the Blazer (or perhaps even a bit Silverado EV) design language while the Canyon is going squarely as another mini Sierra...sort of like how the 2015 Canyon resembled the 2014 and 2015 Sierra. GM...show them already!!!!

Speaking of showing stuff....is GM going to give us anything at the New York Auto show?

Is there any word or whatever about the so-called "low roof" line of vehicles...? Wasn't that the tease for possible new hi-performance "cars"...?...Just wondering....

We're looking at Escalade-V full reveal next month, Celestiq before summer, midsize trucks at some point this year, and possibly refreshed HD trucks. Should also see that Silverado ZR2 Bison and Blazer EV.

Are they doing any reveals at the NY Auto Show? Starts this week, right?

Nope.

I just left press conferences at Javits. GM has a display, including the Silverado EV and Corvette Z06, but no press conference. Cadillac isn’t even there. If you are an EV Denier, stay away from Javits Center for the next week or so. . Otherwise, take your blood pressure meds first.

What'd you think of Silverado EV in person?

I wonder how bad the ride is on the Silverado with 24s and low profile tires.

Let it be known that certain automakers know how to throw a party. Vegas protocols applied.

I am not a pickup truck customer so view what I say through that filter. Stylistically, I prefer the Silverado EV just slightly over the Lightning, main issue being that Lightning is boxier and I’m not a fan of boxy vehicles. I prefer both to Rivian because the Rivian headlights look cartoonish to me. From a functionality standpoint I give a wider margin to the Silverado over the Lightening, primarily because of the tailgate functionality and the midgate. Rivian has some different functionality and is more of a lifestyle truck, so if I was to buy a truck, particularly an EV truck, I’d likely buy a Rivian and just get over the cartoonish headlamps. That’s a big if.

Great review coming from a truck guy for 30+ years. Sounds to me like EV trucks are targeting the suburban homeowner which is expected.

I'm remote in Central/Northern Alberta, Canada. The only EV that would work is a commuter for my wife. Until they offer something that comes close to her current SUV in terms of capability for 40-50K, they don't make financial sense at all for us.

I went and sat in a refreshed SLT Sierra my local dealer got in yesterday.

Holy cow what a truck. The screen is huge. And compared to the Silverado the Sierra just looks miles better. I would have driven it off the lot if its weren't for dealer markups and add on crap pushing the sticker price to 70k.

Still such a nice truck.

I'm a truck guy plus I love the last gen Chevy Avalanche so this Silverado EV is really calling my name.
