Camaro Right Turn Space
How much space does a 5th generation Camaro require for a right turn?
I'm having a home built on a small lot. The attached diagram shows the sharp right turn that would be necessary on the 12' wide driveway into the garage. Of course, it would be done in reverse to exit the garage. The brown lines are where a fence would be located. Would the Camaro be able to make the turn or would it need more space? Your input is appreciated.

Seems tight. I'd set some cones out and try it out first in your car to double check.

It's a single car garage. Unfortunately, it's a narrow lot too. There will be curves on both sides, it's not shown on the diagram though. I hoped to have the fence at the front for privacy, but I think it needs to be beyond the driveway.

Why don't you place the garage door in a more traditional configuration facing the street and eliminate the 90 degree turn. Maybe not as fancy but a lot easier for maneuvering.

I agree, this would be the best way to get in the garage. This way you could back it in or go strait in the garage.

I second the idea of getting some pylons out and trying it.
If the fence isn't on the property line and is for privacy, can you push it "south" on the drawing to give yourself more space? It could still meet the garage if it looks like this: ____|

Could extend the driveway further back and then back into the garage. Like another member said, grab some cones or chalk it out in a parking lot.

If the garage door were placed facing the street, the garage length for parking would be only 16', which is exactly the length of the car, so it wouldn't fit in the garage.

I could back into the garage from street, but then there's the same challenge driving forward to exit the garage.

I wouldn’t be messing with that turn from now until eternity…..this is the time you can engineer it out. Conventional front entry, a different lot that’s bigger, etc. anything worth doing is worth doing right.
And if I’m reading that diagram right, the driveway in front of the door will be the 12 ft width of the main driveway and the 4 ft piece that enters the garage…..16 ft….192 inches. The Camaro is about 190 inches long……
