Once you start throwing that kind of money around, things like lihium battery, carbon fiber rims, a dual inject titanium rod 427 with twin turbo are all within reach and it is not like the C8 is that far behind even in base-model form. McLaren is going put a billion dollars into doubling production to 6500 units a year (going from memory now). Maybe they can do it??? dunno as I'm a CHEVY driver, don't rub noses with the elite. Vette production is 30K to 40K and IMO will rise from there. To me it is American Graffiti. how has enough money to take down the Japanese guys in the Shelby Road Cobra.... Clearly with off the shelf stuff the LT powered C8 is going to be a force of nature, and once some serious cash gets into it, yea 1000+ HP is going to be the new normal for the average C8 Vette owner...
Hell yeah!

Doubt a stock 720s is making 830 crank. Sure they're putting 705-710 to the wheels, but the 720s is a mid engine dct car with a lot less than 15% drivetrain loses. Guaranteed the dct and lack of driveshaft are cutting down on traditional auto drivetrain loses tremendously.

I’m pretty sure my next engine failure will be a valve. Are either valve sodium cooled?

Acceleration is traction, hp, weight, and shift times, thats it. It’s incredibly simple

How does a dodge demon run 9’s with slicks, skinnies 760whp at 4100lbs? Yet it runs 11 flat on street trim.

Hmm maybe being setup specifically as a drag car has a huge advantage?

I’m fairly certain a 1500hp bugatti chiron runs high 9’s. Lol thinking a heads/cam drag camaro is as fast as a chiron.
Chiron would obviously wreck any camaro on a roll race but Brooks from drag times couldn't get one any where near the 9s when he ran one at the strip. I'm sure it's capable but not easily done or that simple.

Also drag radials or not, plenty of NA camaros have run 9s. Texasspeed even had an m6 one do it. People run better drag tires on 720s commonly and I'm sure if they could they would run 15s with a drag radial/slick just like the Camaro guys, but they don't or can't for whatever reason so you can't hold that against the camaro guys. Having said that the 720 would wreck all those 9 second NA camaros in a high speed roll.

If you are referring to sodium-filled, they are not. Solid Titanium Intake and Solid Inconel exhaust. The Inconel will hold up to all forced induction and high HP NA applications.

No question about it the 720s is the fastest car around, maybe a Konigsegg or Chiron can say otherwise but I haven't seen it... and modified or not if the 720s doesn't get it on the jump it'll run them down eventually at speed. It think I've only seen the 918 match it at the half mile and a 1200 hp gtr beat Brooks and that's it.

No worries from us. We'd love to see an NA 427 LT C8 take on some exotics.
