You don't want an auto. The manual is where all the fun is at. Auto is only better if you plan on using the car at the track on a regular basis and even at that it's marginally different. Be the driver ;-)

You're about 11-12 hours away. More then willing to work with you on traveling arrangements. I've bought many cars long distances. It's always a joy to travel and enjoy a new car driving it home.
