Yeah that's understandable. And the only resistor that works for our turn signals is a 3ohm 50W. I don't remember the reason for that but Gen5 explained it to me on the phone lol.

Well I partially installed them to get an idea and it aint looking good, I did the turn signals and when you have your foot on the brake and use the left signal the brake light goes out and vice versa, when you do the hazards the third brake light is on but not actual brake lights, so whom ever did the wiring got it all wrong, so I may end up sending them back, I mean I like them for the fact that you have 4 sets of brake lights instead of 2, but its the way they did the set up with the turn signals, and I want to see how bright they are when it gets dark as well.

Hi everybody,

I bought Lumen tail lights for my Camaro 6gen. It was install to the car at States and then the vehicle was sent to Georgia by ferry. When the vehicle arrived to me I have found this issue with turn lights. I got contact with CarID and explained them my problem. They recommended my switch ON/OFF ignition several times, as solution to solve this issue. Later I asked them provide a real instruction or refund parts, but they reject my request and explained that warranty period was just one month. So now I have faulty taillights and thinking about how to solve this issue. Has anybody beat this? I keeping idea to add two wires from 3rd stop lamp to LH and RH taillight. And I believe that it could help. Can somebody sent instruction how to fix it, please/

What is the issue with the turn signals? Do they not work at all, or just hyperflash (blink very fast)? What are you trying to do with the wires from the 3rd brake light if it's the turn signals that aren't working? Or is this some local regulation compliance issue, say, the turns are red and not amber?

CarID obviously didn't want to deal with this and seem to have brushed you off with their "turn the car off and on a few times" troubleshooting...

I have an issue with blinking of turn signals after braking. They flashes one time at the same time with bake lights. And then disappears. But after every first pressing to brake pedal the flashes once. Same like here https://youtu.be/Atkcl9_7aUM

I want get power for brake lights from 3rd brake light ( because it LED as well as new tail lights) and I hope after that blinking issues disappeared. Seems that there is problem with recognition of ordinary bulbs and LED( different resistance). Hope this will help. Have anybody other ideas?

Unfortunately that’s how these tail lights were designed. I’ve had them for 2 years now. There was a newer version made that supposedly fixed this issue. I don’t mind that the turn signals flash once when the brake is pressed but I very much dislike that the brake light does not stay on when the turn signal is on. I was hoping there’d be a fix to this but have never heard?

I actually really like them. I just have a hyper flashing issue when the brake is pressed then signal.

Hyper flash:
1. Press brake.
2. Signal.
3. Third signal hyper flashes.

No Hyper Flash:
1. Signal.
2. Brake.

One resistor. I wonder if I need a second? If someone knows how to fix this, that would be great.

I have these lights, they work OK but i have 1 problem with them. When the turning signal is on and I press the brake pedal the turn signal disappears for a second. If i press on the brake repeatedly the turn signal doesnt even show up. Anybody has this problem? or is it normal for these lights?

I just recently upgraded to the 2016 2SS!!! With that being said, I am interested in purchasing the dark finish OEM taillights. The only issue is, I am a little behind and Phastek no longer sells them. Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can buy buy this specific part?

You can't, you have to find them used, unfortunately.

That's kinda the conclusion I was coming to. I could only find them on ACS Composite but I just can't justify spending $800 on taillights :(

They are still manufactured as far as I know, but very difficult to acquire. Indeed your best bet is monitoring the forums and facebook marketplace for used ones.

I contributed a wee bit to the shortage, too, because I purchased a second (used) set to have spares if mine ever go out, sorry

I have got the vland lights as well few days ago.
Is it supposed to have 5 pins in the plug? Since the stock ones have 6 pins.

Anyways, functions seems to be swapped. As soon as press the brake pedal, nothing lights up. Using the turn signal lets the brake light flash.

EDIT: turns out that they have sent me a EU version of the tail light which has no reverse light in. Thats why the plug only had 5 pins and the functions were messed up
