Electronic problem first day car arrived!

So my car came in yesturday ordered it 4 months ago 2016 summit white 2SS manual

Jumped in to test drive it and immediately noticed the battery light flashing. Thought well could be a loose wire to the terminal. With in 3 kilometres abs track off service air bag battery light still flashing service engine soon.

It's at the dealer now they think it's a pinched wire somewhere I havnt even signed anything yet so see how this works out. Upside paint looks good interior looks good and the lt1 sounds amazing.

Going to stay positive they will fix it just seeing if anyone has came across this yet.

Thanks for sharing. Keep us posted.

These problems (including the water in trunk thread) are disheartening.

I really loved my test drive and want to buy a'17 but these issues and some lack luster dealer experiences bring doubt. May have to wait for an '18

Will do will update when I hear if it was a pinched wire. Water in the trunk is likely the sunroof drain is pinched had this happen on my cobalt SS easy fix.

I wouldn't let forums make your decision honestly much more people with out problems that never look at a car forum. By 2018 the Camaro will start losing its appeal. It's a big deal now give it a few years something else will be. It's a neverending battle I find.

UPDATE:

So they have narrowed it down to the passenger seat harness is pinched causing a short and blowing a fuse constantly.

Funny cause I told him about the harness problems with the seat getting pinched and he called a few hours later and that's where he is at. GM Tech support also sent him there.

My car was built last week so I was hoping they would of fixed this issue oh well I'm not going to whine to much. Car is stunning sounds incredible can't wait to post some pics!

Will update if this is the solution I've said in other threads the dealerships near me are good and I meant it so I have confidence they got it.

Done fixed all lights out on the dash was exactly that issue and that's what a good dealership can do sorry to hear about all the half a$$ dealerships on the forums

I'm sure other problems may arise but if there fixed I'm happy.

Good luck and drive safe I'm off this thread!!!

Agree! I gotta jump in on a late '16 or a '17.

Btw- I'm not one of these people who will bash a car manufacturer or dealer if there are some warranty issues here and there. I just would like to be treated fairly, have dealer take care of car while in their possession(no dings, curbed wheel/nose, no bird droppings etc) and get it fixed.

I don't mind the tick sound of the LT1 (direct inj.) and am not phased by a cold engine slight mis. My '03 LS6 Z06 idled like a sewing machine and that was normal. It was only 5 yrs old and low mileage/not beat on at track.

On the 6th gen cam
If I were to hear minor concerning sounds or "issues" I would just wait until an oil change and ask dealer then.

Issues more pressing/concrete- get scheduled as soon as possible.

Thx again.

Not a problem easy quick fix saw the water in the trunk was the spoiler holes also most issues are minor. Few unlucky ones with big problems! See how mine fairs out through out the summer if it's a lemon everyone will know.
