Clear Bra

My dealer is asking if I want a clear bra on my white 2016 2SS Camaro.

Has anyone put this on their Camaro? Can you tell that its on? I want to protect it but I also don't want to ruin the look right off the bat!

Thanks!

There are like two or three threads on this in the cosmetic/modifications/maintenance sections...

It s very clear and hard to tell. The new camaro is a difficult job, and the skill of the installer is paramount. XPEL , SUNTEK and 3m PRO are three of the best.

Hopefully the dealer would be experienced with putting it on. Sounds good! Thank you!

the odds are not with you that they will do a good job....do some investigation with the dealer, who does it? can you see another job that's done? etc...

Xpel installers are reporting the new camaro is one the hardest cars to do , due to the complex radius curves of the front cap.

I'm taking mine right from the dealer to my installer to get this done with tints I have had it on a Z for 10 years looks like new still.

I rubbed my truck off the bumper (small driveway to many Veichles) and heard a screeching noise thought for sure new paint nope just a scuff on the clear bra polish done like new.

Find a good installer!
Good luck

I have 3M on my car and you CAN see the end of the sheet on your car. There is no way around this other than have them do a full wrap not just the front "bra" area. From what I know, a full wrap would be super-expensive.

However, it is still pretty damned awesome. Obviously my paint is protected and the bra is actually more slippery than the painted surface which is pretty neat. It is also great for those of us that Autocross because rubber transfer from hitting cones is not on your paint but on the plastic bra.

The dealer almost never does installs of tint and clear bra. Usually they will have a local shop that they send their business to even though you pay the dealer.

If you like your paint, get the clear bra. If you like chips, don't.
I regretted not getting it on my 2010. by the time I hit the 2 year mark the front end was beat to crap.

I am getting SUN-TEk installed on mine. Picking it up and driving it to the installer 20 mins away. Also having Ceramic Pro installed.
