Did anyone buy a car cover?

I saw the option / accessory on GM's site, but it was pretty expensive for a car cover. I'm going to have my car garaged, but was looking into getting something cheap to cover it. I don't care about looks, just looking for something that's easy on/off and prevents unintentional scratches from people walking by and rubbing against it, carrying stuff, etc. Anyone have any recommendations?

The GM covers are nice, they stretch fit....for indoor use, a $50 generic cover from auto anything will work too, I bought one for Summers when I work, and hibernate the car in my condo garage.

Thanks. Did you get your curb sensors there as well? How do you like them?

I use a curb alert. The one to buy is a CURB ALERT MINI.....you can get them from many, price is approx $150. It only alerts you from a obstruction directly ahead, not to the sides.

Oh ok I see. I have this other one that's pretty much brand new that I used on my 5th gen but the quality is not good. It was only a 100 bucks

I got the fitted cover, it does fit well and looks good, but it does not have a soft liner and I didn't really feel like it would be good for the paint long term. I'm sticking with the cheep soft indoor cover I used on my gen5. Like Glen suggested you can find one at any chain auto parts store for cheep.

Simple and inexpensive approach some have used is to simply buy two queen sized flannel sheets/blankets and sew them into one.

Yes same one I have use it at work , I work at a concrete plant and it is dusty as hell . But it seem like the cover is leaving Mico scratches in the paint fits great repels water and keep the car clean but not soft on the paint..
