So the trade off for enduring the extra time a general QC Hold takes is a generally better assembled build.

The Gen5 intro had many exceptions at the start but did not have an extended QC Hold exception. Even then, battery cables had to be replaced as the original installed ones were not long enough. But overall, the extended hold makes for as close to a best assembled vehicle as we can get.

I hope this is the case. I don't want things to feel like i can pry them off in the interior ala 5th gen. I also hope i dont get a wooden steering wheel lol

I have a wood steering wheel in my Corvair.

It would be nice to see some 3100s but I am a little gun shy because shortly after I predicted more 3100s Sledge's TPW got bounced back a week.

Makes me wonder if my build will happen earlier in this weeks cycle or if I got put to the back of the line. Still showing 3100, so not sure how that all works. I guess until it is 3400 anything can happen.

I was referring to the article we saw a while ago about GM training workers for the upcoming shifts

as of today still at 3000 with a TPW of 10/12

guessing one (or both) will change this time next week.

3800. Until 3800 anything can happen.

Only the in the assembly plant line managers can say for sure, but I would expect the potential sequencing to stay in tact. And we do not know if the actual start date has been changed, only that your target start week has been.

So, if the plan was 750 builds in the first week and it seems 600 will be likely then the last 150 will be the first 150 of the following week. We do not know where you fell in the sequence.

That does not mean 10/05 is certain, only that it is not ruled out as the start of regular production week.

And even if ruled out, we still do not know where you are in the sequencing.

My sales guy checks for my particular pricing every week or so. Through now, he always comes back and says not available yet.

He knows (or at least I'm fairly certain he knows) that pricing is announced and available, and he knows with that we should be able to estimate the cost of my build, but he says he doesn't want to give me his word on a final price until he can see the pricing on MY car.

Does this make sense to anyone, and if so, when can we expect that?

I assume he is waiting on some sort of invoice on my car?

My dealer checked in the GM Workbench. No pricing is listed currently. When trying to build a car, it still shows W/A.

He has seen Becky's numbers and sees the list where he thinks she got it from, but it hasn't made it all the way into the system that he can see.

Laborsmith thanks for your insight and putting my mind at ease. I never really thought about that. But, it makes perfect sense. Everyone on the assembly production line including plant managers wants to make sure that the first go 'round of cars that gets built is as flawless as possible.
