Thumbs down Water leak in trunk area

So, I opened my trunk last week only to find that a few magazines were soaking wet and had to be thrown away.

Then, I decided to lift the carpet and I had 1/2 to 3/4 inch standing water in the bottom of the trunk where the amp and fuse relax box are mounted!!!!!

I took the car to my local dealer. They have had it for 1 week now.

They have replaced all of the weatherstripping and they first claimed that pinched weatherstripping behind the taillights was the root cause. However, a second water test revealed it was still not fixed.

The latest problem they discovered is a "few" body seams were leaking that they will need to repair.

I just wanted to let others know in case this is a recurring problem. I will post the final outcome once I get the car back.

I notice when I open the trunk water runs over the rubber strip and ends up inside the trunk. I hope they fix your issue.

Do you have a sunroof, and have you checked the drain hose?

Had the same thing happen on my cobalt SS was the sunroof drain was pinched from a speaker in the back. Easy fix!

I do have a sunroof. I got the car back today. They claim it ended up not being the body seams but instead it was leaking around the holes in the trunk lid where the spoiler was mounted onto. They siliconed all the areas and water tested it again. I

Where is this drain Hose for the sunroof for future reference?
