Crazy Orange Peeling
Has anyone noticed an unacceptable amount of orange peeling on the sheetmetal of their 6th gens? I'll try to get pictures when I can get it in the right light, but the orange peeling that is going on here is really bothering me. Think I should say something to GM customer service?

If it was so bad why did you take delivery of the car?
Orange peel can be fixed with wet sanding and such, but it takes work and skill... |

Didn't notice it under the light in the delivery bay, plus the natural lighting coming in wasn't good because it was so cloudy outside. I've bought 21 cars and I'm no dumbass when it comes to this. I'm just trying to figure out if I am well within my rights to ask the factory to have this bitch wet sanded and polished.

Mine has some, definitely not nearly as bad as my many other GM vehicles over the years, my 6th gen SS is definitely the best paintjob! OP doesn't bother me, unless it is really noticeable, mine only has a little and you have to look at a certain angle in the right lighting to even notice it.

Glen, that "no action approved" is -after- you've paid for it, right? If you see that kind of stuff before you accept it, you can just refuse to buy it, right?

Yup.....you would be surprised at how many don't see it on a delivery...every car made has it due to water borne paints, but some are unacceptable...
