Dashcam batteries... worth it?

Getting a Blackvue DR750X system this year, curious if the extra battery is worth it. I'm having a hard time justifying spending nearly as much on a battery as I am on the dashcam.

For reference this car is typically my DD. Even with all of the pandemic nonsense, I still try to take it out for a drive every day for 30 mins or so. Sometimes sits for a 2-3 days between drives tho.

My car battery is strong, shows a solid 12.5 - 12.8v any time I take a reading.

Any opinions/experiences out there, good or bad, are appreciated.
Thanks!

I went with a battery simply because it kept me more at ease to know it was drawing power only when the car was on. But also then it would still kick on based on motion or impact depending on the settings I chose on the camera. My cell link neo gets me a good 12 hours when full and only takes about an hour to charge when set to the fast draw setting.

I have a Thinkware F800 wired to the car battery. Before I moved to Florida, the car would sit for weeks at a time when the weather was bad. The camera kept doing its thing, and my battery never got low.
It seems a little redundant to me. A battery backup for a battery? Unless I’m missing something.
