Interesting dyno results

Gonna share some of my experience with having my car on the dyno.
So it all started when I put my mildly bolt on car on a dynocom unit. At the time car has a rotofab, pray ported stock TB/IM, cat deletes and About 60% e or so. Results were rather impressive as the car made 475/472. After I continued the mod the car and now it has 2 inch headers, pray ported Hiram/95tb, haltech cai. It was then dynoed on Prays dyno where car made 489/462 with 68% E. Last weekend I put the car back on the original dyno, car made 490/485 with 77% E..... somehow the car picked up 20 wheel tq but only 1hp.

You have freed up the intake and the exhaust to a point where the factory cam and heads are holding you down. Get the pray high ram cam with his ported heads, a nick Williams 103 mm TB, maybe throw in an under drive pulley for good measure. Naturally aspirated 600whp imminent.

Well speaking with Brett, he said the number car put down on my local dyno make no sense. He hasn’t seen a Hiram car make as much tq as hp, usually they are at least 20 apart. So it’s either their dyno is on crack and it’s just reading super high tq for some reason, or I should of put down like 520hp

The dynojet numbers make sense. The other dyno, something ain't right. The high ram makes great power, and your numbers demonstrate that, but torque-not so much.

Yeha that 485 tq with Hiram made no sense to me, interesting enough another pray car went on maybe two cars after me and made 500/465. And our set ups are super similar. I’m not sure what happened to the dyno when I was on it that it bugged out like that.

I don’t know if this is related, but here is how to make 722 wheel with forced induction.

600whp achieved with forced induction, should drive as smooth a factory.

However 600whp all motor will be more challenging to daily drive.

Making 600whp NA requires a cam with a bit of positive overlap. A lot of Overlap causes choppy idle and erratic behavior in low speed off idle throttle transitions. Proper tuning can mitigate some of that but it will never truly drive as "smooth" as stock. Some well tell you otherwise but their tolerance for what some may consider as acceptable driving characteristics is simply higher. As mentioned above, if you want to make more power and the car to drive as smooth and tame as stock, then a supercharger is your answer.
