NPP Exhaust Upgrade

Live in Cali and tired of getting pulled over for my MBRP axle back exhaust. Looking to upgrade to one that uses the NPP. Any suggestions that are quiet with the valves closed but sounds great when the valves open? Will sell the MBRP when I buy the new setup. Thanks

Trade it for a 2SS with NPP after putting your SS back to stock. It's the easiest way to get all the NPP features, but not the cheapest.

Alternately, you can go to aftermarket wiring/switches w/ a Borla NPP or similar.

The problem isn't the exhaust, it is your foot!

Its a combination of the right foot AND the fact that he lives in California. MBRP is basically a muffler delete, so by Cali emission laws, that's about on par with murdering babies in any other state.

Flowmaster NPP if on a budget. Corsa Npp if no expense spared.

The difference is the Corsa has supposedly no Drone with valves open or closed and 12db quieter closed. The Flowmaster has very little drone closed and some drone open(with cat deletes). Not sure how much quieter it is closed but it's significant(my guess is 6-8db). These are the only 2 exhausts I know of that have a significant volume difference between open and closed.

That being said I recently bought the Corsa and will eventually be selling the Flowmaster. Only because I have always wanted Corsa but the NPP version wasn't available when I bought the FM. Probably wasted money on this venture but oh well.

I'm running a BORLA ATAK Axleback no NPP on my 1SS in Los Angeles and Orange County area. Never been pulled over... I'm also Orange.

My Corsa NPP is being installed tomorrow. I eagerly await the sound and fury.

The Corsa NPP is outstanding. Rather loud and thunderous - but quiet in stealth.

So this is what corsa sent me a while back when I asked about the volume, I did forget to ask full details (is this axle back only, how it’s measured, etc)

If it is a standard exhaust test, it is usually a slow RPM increase to a set RPM (I think half the motors rated RPM? Not sure...), while in park, measured a half meter from the exhaust tip. I think it is an SAE test spec. I doubt they are doing a driving pass-by test like the OEM would.

Understood, I am unfamiliar with the specific procedures, but I can tell you it is louder all around and has the exact rumble+look I was hoping to achieve. Stealth mode still functions even. The cold start will awaken the dead in an underground garage - scared myself a little to be honest.

Very satisfied customer of Corsa here.

Does the corsa closed really seem louder than npp open?

Love the amount of difference in db but def can’t have the car that much louder when closed
