I'll buy a round of drinks for us, to to celebrate your victory, from the money I saved at fillup...no extra cost to me.

Now, which model corners better with the same brand tires mounted?

This is the kind of rubbish they were talking before the LT1 came out. 25% of sales is nothing now. First they said they wouldn’t sell any, then they said they sell some, now 25% of sales is not enough. People will never admit when they’re wrong. The LT1 was a good idea and the haters are still hating

i don't think you know what 'hating' or comprehending is, consequently you completely miss the point. I'm not commenting whether i like the LT1 model or not. You seem to equate 25% of the total with a 25% increase.

They created a less expensive model to sell more cars. They aren't selling more cars.

Camaro sales are up. So the 25% is part of that being up. Hello. Any company that introduces a new model and captures 25% of the sales they consider that a success. A huge success. Come on guys get it together here. Only haters can spin this in a way where it doesn’t mean anything. GM learned that they need to go down market not up.

That same GM claims a 20% increase in retail sales of the Camaro. I think you haven't read their info that also shows a 35% reduction in fleet and rental sales.

Individual customers (retail) are indeed increasing Camaro sales and a good part of that is likely the LT1 being 25% of the retail sales.

Yes they are to retail customers, less to fleet and rentals.

I know those who are expecting the demise of the Camaro will find any good news as disappointing, but the LT1 is bucking the phony, non-existent demand for EVs and not doing its part for the ICE free inevitable future narrative.

So after not being able to sell 30,000 units all of last year all of a sudden sales are up? The worst sales number since the Camaro was reintroduced in 2009. Give me a break....Nothing but talk on here for months now regarding the shortage of camaros on dealer lots from coast to coast and lack of computer chips forcing shutdowns, etc. What about the insider source that gmauthority quoted numberous times last year stated sales were up but instead ended up being nothing but B.S. Was this the same insider source that claims that the lt1 account for almost 25% of sales?

Personally, I took some of that $3.5K in savings and bought new rims and tires so hooking isn't an issue and the car looks better IMO.

Exactly what i did

The Challenger is becoming its own segment it’s like the jeep wrangler. Just doesn’t need to be updated and people just continue to love it and buy it.

Hate to say it but FCA/Stellantis made the closest thing to a real muscle car of the whole of all Mustang/Camaro/Challengers. It might not lead the pack in acceleration or handling (Hellcat/Demon notwithstanding) but it’s got a big trunk and a useable back seat, and it’s priced to sell not sit on dealer lots.

That’s what all muscle cars were intended to be - great performance accessible to everyone.

If GM priced the 2SS Camaro $6-8000 cheaper it would sell more. Instead it sits on lots for a year like mine.

The LT1 should be the car that fills the bill as a "muscle car". Sort of like the idea behind this 409 Biscayne...

Or how about they bring back the Biscayne with an LT1 in it? :-)
