Several deep scratches - how to fix?
Hi! I already have couple of deep scratches (at least they are not big nor wide) and 2-3 rock chips on my front bumper (God bless Ontario 400 highways... ).
Can’t really see them (only if you are very close and searching for them), but since I know that they exist after only several months of ownership... it annoys the hell out of me What options do I have to fix them? Thanks! |

You could have them fixed at a body shop, then put a paint protection film on the front of the car and all areas that are exposed to road debris (expensive), but there will always be other scratches, maybe even in places you didn't put any film
Or you could just not worry about it and drive the car, who knows sometime you may get in a fender bender and have the entire front body panel replaced. If the scratches are only in the clear coat, I'd buff it out myself and call it good. |

Two tiny chips on hood.
Scotch tape pieces around mark, as close to, take off immediately after. Framed in painter's tape, before paint, use paper/cardboard to take off most of paint before applying and placing tape after removal, individual pieces. Zoomed in a bit closer, hardly noticeable. |

Just get a touch up paint. Best investment is a clear bra like expel. Works well if done properly. All highway driving you risk rock chips it can't be avoided.

Almost two years ago I moved from Atlanta to Daytona Beach, FL. The first year I had to commute 140 miles round trip daily. The highways in FL are some of the worst I've seen. It destroyed my SS. Now that I live closer to my gig and don't have to get on the highway anymore, I had the entire car repainted (Mosiac Black). It was so worth the $2900. I found an award winning body shop in a small town over. Their work was incredible. I know you are not there yet, but just give you an idea of what bad highways can do over time...

I’m pretty anal about my car and despise scratches...but it is my daily driver and I’m lucky because stone chips don’t seem to bother me. I have 2 or 3 so far, but that’s just a fact of life if you had a daily driver.

I would recommend Dr. ColorChip. Easy DIY after you review video.
