Congrats, that's a solid run! Sounds like your tranny learned some bad behavior, glad you got it sorted to get a solid run in.

What were the Hellcats trapping? According to their forums, they seem to trap high 170s to low 180s in stock form.

The tuner told me he was looking directly at the some GM page specifically for software updates. He showed me the page, and showed me a long number that told what particular software version my car had (based on my VIN number). Under that long number, there were additional numbers showing the updates being offered. He told me the dealer would add the updates if I asked for them, although most dealers would pushback on doing the updates unless their was a specific problem being reported. Some dealers (he said) would gladly do the updates simply on request. Of course we all know finding a dealer who shares our interest is a trick at best.

I plan to show the video on my 3-4 shift hesitation as the basis for the updates. The tuner said the updates were always an improvement and there was always a valid reason for them. He also said most updates don't necessarily have an associated bulletin.

This was my final and best run... after the battery was disconnected for 15 minutes and the 3-4 shift didn't lag anymore.

How smooth was the runway? I took my C6Z in 2016 and thought the runway was pretty rough. I plan on taking my Camaro next March; adding a supercharger next month and want to see what she’ll do.

What were the stock Hellcats trapping?

I think there's probably a little more in it, but still a nice run

It was smooth, although there was a groove in the runway but easy to avoid. It was slick however, not much different than the typical wet concrete road.

It's a different dynamic when driving for speed vs time so a slow takeoff seems preferable. But even when trying, 0-60 in 4 seconds was not possible with stock tires.

Sounds like you had a good time, and ran in the 170s as you expected as well!

That's a really good speed. For reference my headers, tune 06Z06 went 179 and my 2010 ZR1 went 175.

Great times. I still want to know how GM achieved the advertised 191mph max speed specification?

Did you see any ZL1 1LE's?

Our cars won't reach top speed in the mile, I'd guess it would be 3 miles or more to finally reach max speed.

There were no ZL1 1LE's there.

I was hoping the Texas Mile would post the run results before I answered because I've got such limited information on how the Hellcats were running.

I know there was one right in front of me and he actually got a bit sideways at about 80 mph on the slick runway. He finished the mile at 120, because he wasn't in the mood to go fast after that (understandably)!

I saw others trapping out in the 180's but don't believe they were stock. Most that seemed (sounded) stock to me were running right along with the 4 ZL1's that were there, that being from 170-175 mph.
