Warning for you guys running headers…

Protect this harness. We pulled mine to inspect it and we caught it just in time. We’re applying some heat shield. Passenger side under the strut tower.

I noticed that in hard RH corners the dash would go out and sensors would act up. This is definitely the culprit.

Carry the hell on!

Yikes! Looks like a little bit of time protecting those wires and finding a way to strap them away from the heat is in order.

Route them behind the coolant tank. There’s room, it’s the easiest fix IMO.

Which headers are you using? I don't have any issues with my 2" Kooks.

This has worked for me too and I added heat wrap at the time it was done.

NG329 one of us should’ve mentioned this when you posted about your header install. There are many threads talking about relocating that harness as Chrome383Z mentioned.

Hopefully it’s all good for you after you fix it.

I don't think brand has anything to do with it to be honest.

In all fairness, I'm probably taking turns a lot harder than you are. I noticed my dash going out in hard right hand corners. Upon inspection, we noticed that the harness had enough play in it to make contact with the headers under heavy lateral gravitational loads.

It's all good. I tend not to ignore stuff. Once I saw that it was quirky I knew that I had to do an inspection.

I'm just glad that we got to the bottom of it. Tipped my mechanic $100. He saved me so much more $$$ down the road.

So which headers are you using? Why so secretive? Brand does matter because not all headers are designed exactly the same.

That passenger side wire harness is in a bad spot with LT’s running next to them. I’d suggest moving that harness with any size or brand LT.

Here’s the install thread.

I'm not secretive. I have an entire thread devoted to it.

Brand has nothing to do with this particular issue. The harness is located in a bad spot for any setup and has a lot of play.

You must be an older fellow because you're quite opinionated.

I thought about this but I saw a CSP video where they said that it doesn't really make much of a difference. So I doubt that I will pull the headers off to have that done again.
