Best Car Cover
I have no choice but to store my Camaro outside and was wondering if I could get some suggestions on a good all weather car cover? I'd love to buy a nice $70 one from Amazon but the reviews about those covers scratching the paint scare me to death. Any input is greatly appreciated!

Bite the bullet and buy the GM Camaro outdoor cover along with some gust straps and a locking cable for the center. I bought a "cheap" ($200) cover from carcovers.com and that sucker was on the ground at the slightest wind gust--and that was with gust straps and a locking cable.

I have California car covers on both my camaros.
They have an extensive website and several different types, both inside and outside storage covers. They have excellent quality and longevity. |

The key to an outside cover is make sure it cannot move across the paint. It has to be tied down so it cannot slide around. It has to stay in place no matter how much ice accumulates on it.

Im in the same boat. I bought a cheap one last year because they could deliver quickly. And we got the vert Jan. 2.
This year I have a Covercraft. I got the cover and 2 tensioners. Plus a bag for just over 400 bucks delivered. It did take close to 8 weeks for delivery as they make them to order in the USA. I ordered from Carcoverworld.com. The cheap cover was still $200. A sealskin. The difference is night and day. The Covercraft is custom made for the exact vehicle. The sealskin was way too big. I used clamps to pull up all the slack by clamping to my winter wheels. Plus the rope under the center. By the end of the winter the eyelets had pulled out. Its lined with a cotton layer inside which is good. It didnt scratch anything but it left the vert top filled with fuzz. I still have it. I have the covercraft on without the center tied and have yet to put the tensioners on and it fits snuggly enough that it hasnt moved. Last time I posted a pic it was sideways. But here it is. https://www.camaro6.com/forums/attac...1&d=1642129710

Yup. Still sideways.
I washed and used Maguire's Waterless Wash and Wax on the car before covering it. The cover will always move independent from the car to some extent. Any dirt at all is likely to result in minor scratching.

I have one that was just north of $100 and fits the car just right and has soft cloth on the inside. It ties at the wheels to keep it on right. I keep the car in the garage so now it sits in a corner. If you’re interested I would sell it for $50 bucks

I have the GM indoor cover. Yes the car does sit outside, has for 2 winters. The Indoor has held up just fine.

I would never use an outdoor car cover again since I love my paint.
Dust and dirt get under it and it will scratch and hologram the hell out of your paint. (My experience) Some say they are able to strap it down so it doesn't move. I have even seen someone put a Saran Wrap to try and keep the cover from moving along with bricks (really?) on the car. I would just get a good ceramic coating and leave it at that. I had a car outside and uncovered for years that was ceramic coated and the paint looked great. Best outdoor car cover?: "NONE" My 2 cents.
