Anyone can add the ZL1 1LE aero package to their ZL1. They are the same front fascias on both models. Only the splitter, grilles, and canards are different. They are all add on.

The ZL1 fenders are definitely wider than the SS, so that I can believe.

Did you have to do the ZL1 grille to make the front splitter work or can you just stick with factory grille

At the end of the day, I think I’ll have the best of both worlds with the streetability of the ZL1 and the badass look of the 1LE. If it is a few 10th’s slower, it’ll just give me an excuse to make her faster BUT, I just found this, so maybe there’s no difference?! Last edited by L8ERBRO; 11-10-2017 at 10:51 PM. |

I feel the 1LE aero package has made a dramatic increase in the feeling of stability past 130mph. It does what it says it does. Feels much more planted.

1LE Aero Complete, just need red Calipers and a few go fast parts. Kooks Lt's w/2" primaries due to be delivered today, then it's off to the ceramic coating shop for some satin black.

That is badass sir. I ordered the same car and wish to do the same thing, so, in conclusion, after reading all of this, I am a little confused at what parts I actually need to install on my Z. I assume its just the canards, splitter and rear wing. Can you please list your parts?
Sounds like I don't need fenders or front fascia. Does the splitter need to be changed? Does the grille need to be changed? Is the splitter and grille one piece, as on my "15 ZL1? THX

How does one find these types of parts lists? I'm looking to do the aero setup on an SS but I would need the fenders & hood also.

I was the second one to do the conversion...the other is painted light blue and was a SS. I actually ordered a Zl1 1LE ITS STILL ON ORDER (YELLOW) at Lonestar in Houston. I sold my TT 5th gen paid off credit cards and credit jumped to 730 called the credit union and asked what a 84 mos loan would be it was less than 800.00 plus no payments for 3 mos. after Harvey was able to change that to 6 mos. no payments. I found the last 17 yellow on the planet. The price came out the good with the spoiler and front conversion the dealer matched the the lowest online prices I found from gmpartdirect and Iamgmparts about 400 cheaper than Matt at That GMparts guy. I bought mine for 60k even on a 67,125 MSRP and got 750 allowance toward the 1le aero kit parts. Other than the Mag ride vs adj coil overs it's the same. I think with a little help from JDP or Peter B it will handle just aswell soon.
For me it wasn't a copy issue I had one ordered I knew wanted the look the coil over didn't really matter to me also if I waited I might not of receive 2.9% on that term of a loan or didn't want to take the chance. Plus was tired of sharing a car with wife lol. Those are the TSW 27 offset w 3mm spacers on front otherwise need to shave the shocks/struts in front so rim doesn't rub running 305s all corners. Actually my buddies rims and tires.. I just got the 1le replicas from Discount tire at $980.00 and Bridgestone RE 11s 305s front and 325s rear 19s they were at such a good price about 400 cheaper than 3 style of TSW that fit our cars (well ones that you can run 305s correctly) SO this was a price issue not to mention I got 320.00 dollars in VISA card coming back for buying wheels, tires, and using the Discount card. I even paid with my VISA card rebate card from buying tires 2 mos ago for my suburban so I had 130 off it was a no brainer. $980 Reps $240 front tires 2x 305 30 19s $280 Rear trires 2x 325 30 19s $-320 Rebate coming $-130 Used Discount Rebates visa card from previous purchase. Total cost $ 1700 something cause tax
