Not me, that's for sure, but I don't have 40k miles, have been a naughty boy and modded the car every 3-4k so far That said, oil consumption has been almost zero in the car's current (probably final) setup over the last 4k+ miles.

I haven't seen a thread on LT1 engines having oil consumption issues, not aware of this issue at all in fact.

Seen lots of threads here on the subject. Anyone experiencing this in the 6.2 or is it pretty much as has already been reported?
Mine just rolled over 59,000 miles. I usually have the oil changed when the life gets to 20%. I've never had to add oil between changes. My right foot is considerably heavier than my left foot.

My '16 SS has just over 47k miles. No oil consumption issues here.

C&D probably took olm to 0 or lower. The more I read about di engines I think 5k mile oil changes are cheap insurance. But v6 oil changes are less than $35.

I have had to add maybe a quart and half over the 3 years of owning my ZL1 and it has around 23,000 miles now. SKM348, if you are wanting a Camaro I wouldn’t wait until the last year production because GM might decide to pull the plug on the Camaro after 2023. No one knows for sure when and if the production will end in 2023 or 2024 except for GM and they’re not releasing any official news yet. To answer your question about the Recaro seat option, yes the Recaros are definitely worth the extra money in my opinion. They are very supportive and break in to your body shape and weight over time, at least mine did in the ZL1. Good luck!

I've had to add about 3/4 of a quart in the first 2,000 miles, which doesn't seem too bad during break in. Hopefully oil consumption will be minimal going forward. I'm also getting ready to add a catch can.

I'm also a fan of the Recaros. I wasn't sure at first whether I was going to like them, but a 5 hour trip home from the dealership convinced me that they are awesome seats.

This is from a ZL1 perspective presuming the SS Recaros are the same: If you're coat size 44 or smaller (or <=250 lbs) you'll probably be perfectly happy with the Recaros. The side-bolsters are not adjustable so if you're a wide in the torso (coat size 46 or greater) you may have some comfort issues and want to stick to SS or corvette seats. If you're on the fence, stop by a cars n coffee and ask someone if you can sit in their car.

*Is the engine bay brace worthwhile...?
A strut-tower brace is not really necessary. If the car has a factory brace, then you don't need to upgrade it unless you want bling. The 6th gen Camaro chassis is pretty damn stiff without one (ZL1s don't even have a brace between the strut-towers, they have two 45-degree braces to the firewall). One might expect some cowl shake even with the ZL1 convertible due to the extra 250+ lbs up front, lack of solid roof, and no brace between the towers. It doesn't. It's rock. freaking. solid.

*Can I switch to all season tires that are on the LT1 when the stock summer tires wear out? Would I just put new tires on same wheels or would there be other issues?
Of course. Keep the size the same. If you have runflats some shops may want to replace them with runflats. Ask first.

*Cylinder deactivation is only on automatics, correct?
Yes.

*Are decal packages durable without fade? There’s some interesting looks you can get but I don’t know if they’ll last well.
The factory decals (i.e. stripes) are good quality 3M IIRC.

*The only ‘issue’ I see is the direct injection carbon buildup...
Carbon buildup is not an issue with the 2015+ V8s.

Thanks, and good council, Greg. '23 may be the year for me. There likely would be nothing significant for '24, should there be a '24, other than a color a minor feature.

Also thanks to Pirate and Gunkk. I have an upcoming opportunity to sit in stock SS seats, so I'll see what they are like.
