Did a Vroom offer on my 22 ZL1. 84 miles on it. Most options but no PDR or sunroof, and an A10. They came back at $69000 even. Carvana and Carmax tell me they can't give an offer and I need to bring it in. One of the 2 says my car stumped their algorithm February of this year, sold my 2021 Tahoe RST with around 2000 miles for $12k more than I paid to Driveway.
It pays to shop around. |

With 95,000 vehicles sitting and waiting to ship, being down 40% doesn’t have much meaning. Of those 95,000, most every one is sold.

Yeah definitely noticed used car/suv price drops in recent weeks. Have also seen new car listing prices online drop as well. Lots of Dealers still holding onto new inventory looking for whomever will pay over MSRP for in demand vehicles. Not enough New Camaros will keep prices high till end of Gen run.

Purchased a Hellcat 2020 and sold it for $6k more than I paid for it last year (not including tax so I essentially broke even). I don’t think the V8 camaros are going to depreciate quickly in the near future… they may even start appreciating if GM sticks to emission zero plan and rushes a bunch of garbage vehicles to the market.
All that said buyers market is TERRIBLE in NE Indiana for SS 1LE or even SS in general. Not seeing much change. There’s a 2017 yellow SS with 900 and change miles (not 1LE)- they’ve been asking $51k for it, forever. I’m typically very patient and negotiate accordingly on new luxury type purchases, but I think I’ll be satisfied with a new SS1LE @MSRP given how rare they will be. I don’t care if it takes me a year to get the car. I’m hoping to snag a collectors edition in yellow, and the dealer I’m working with assured me there will be time to sneak an order in on a black car if GM pulls the plug early. That’s another reason I might be willing to pay sticker. They are being patient, and they’re working with me on snagging my #1 preference. |

GM and the other oem's are relishing in this market where MSRP rules. Since 9/11/2001 they have been forced to use incentives to sell vehicles. I have bought several vehicles during this time and all of them have come when they offered "Employee Pricing" for everyone. May not see that ever again in my lifetime except maybe for a electric power vehicle. I been contacted by my GMC dealer who offered me what I paid for my 2021 4wd Sierra Denali Ultimate, with every option, 61K is what I pay on the road incl. taxes, $72K msrp etc. Only problem is he won't sell me a new one (now over $80k) for anything less than MSRP and he can't get one, no allocations coming anytime soon.
