Evaporation leak

When I turned on my 1 month old 2SS today with 300 miles on her the check engine light came on. WTH?? I drove about 5 minutes away to an appointment and left her off for maybe 20 minutes. Check engine light still on when I power her back up.

Took her straight to the dealer. They ran a diagnostic on her and said there is a small evaporation leak somewhere but it was too late in the day to find it today. It was safe to drive if I wanted to take it home or I could leave there over the weekend and they would work on it on Monday.

I took her home and will bring her back on Monday for them to work on. I didn't get a code on it but they made it sound like it was in the exhaust system somewhere. Anybody heard of this problem yet?

I'd be curious to hear what the Diagnostic Trouble Code is.

I asked them for the code when I dropped it off this morning and the service person didn't know it but said it would be documented once repaired. They're supposed to call this afternoon to give me an idea of how long the repair will take. I'll see if I can get the code then.

The trouble code was P0442. Turns out the hose to the purge valve celanoid was disconnected. All fixed and she is back at home and in her garage. 😊
