I drive with both windows down all the time on the highway and around town. No buffeting at any speeds.
I do have the sunroof and tend to crack it at an angle when I roll the windows down, so that may make a difference. I'm sure seat position and amount of recline angle on the seat has a lot to do with it.

They all do it. It's the cars design..
If you crack the pass window it will alleviate it. Get on the fwy with only your drive window fully down and you'll see lol. It's also where the driver sits. Where the wind can get disrupted and break up the pressure before it wofts into the car and makes the noise. |

I drive with both windows down pretty much all the time and have the back seat always folded down as well.
The only time I have ever noticed buffeting occur is after I have someone ride in the car with me and they adjust the seat. I usually have to move the entire seat forward a little and the buffeting stops. I have a coupe with no sunroof.
