Oil for track days?

Hi I was wondering what oil for track days? Is the Mobil 1 that is in the car good enough and the suggested amount?

Do you have the ZL1 2023 CAMARO MODELS TRACK PREPARATION doc?

https://www.chevrolet.com/content/da...ackPREP-R3.pdf

No, the OEM M1 0w40 street oil is NOT good enough for the ZLE on track... For your ZLE, you must use M1 15w50 oil on track or they can void your warranty if the engine fails--it's great track oil.

Also, change your brake fluid to DOT 4 Castrol SRF, and change your alignment to track settings per the specs in this doc (for example: -2.7 front camber) This alignment will help preserve the precious amazing GY 3R tires.

I was told it'd be the first thing they'd check if I popped the motor on track. But who really knows if what the dealer says is true. Wasnt worth the gamble for me...i changed it out
