Hi I was wondering how you like the ACT I’m looking into getting the t1s-g09 how is the drive ability? pedal weight? Engagement feel? compared to the stock any info would be great thanks

Lol at people calling OP cheap for not wanting to drop $2k+ on a clutch

These aftermarket parts are marked up like hell because they know there are people that will pay absurd amounts of $ for it

Aftermarket pricing is starting to lighten up some since this thread was made but still lots of $2k axlebacks and $3k clutch kits

I'm waiting for an affordable clutch option that is lightweight and durable

My stock clutch looked good as new when I pulled the motor at 16k miles (10k basically stock, 6k Maggie @ 575/575). I've been around 725/625 for 11k miles and the clutch is holding up just fine. I've done around six track days and maybe 20 passes at the dragstrip on street tires. If you never intend to bolt on a drag pack, you can make a case for using gm parts, even at 6 - 700whp.

I went with the middle road option - a Katech aluminum flywheel and ZR1 clutch... all together I dropped about 22lbs for $1200. I mean I could have dropped another 18-20lbs with the RPS option, but that's like $2800 and I don't know how expensive replacement parts will be compared to the ZR1 option. That 25lbs overall weight is very impressive for a stock-size flywheel/clutch system though, not gonna lie.

Was the C7 ZR1 a drop in setup? I am thinking about changing the clutch out next year when I get into the engine and up the boost.

Well apparently it's the same part # as the Z06/ZL1 unit... I didn't even look that up and just ordered the "ZR1" clutch because GM put it into a 3700lbs car with 700+ lb-ft of torque. I measured the depth when it arrived to make sure it would work - it does.
