Supercharged engine removal from the top or bottom?

Hi,
My KB equipped ls3 has developed a noise in the bottom end. I have removed the gearbox already. My question is should I just take out the engine from the top or drop the engine out with the sub frame from underneath?

If I drop the sub frame where are all the electrical plugs for the loom located?
Do you think the super charger can stay on till its out?

Thanks

If you have a lift and way to drop it out the bottom, then do it that way. If car is just on jackstands you don't really have a choice but up top.
