2017 RS vs SS Wheel and tire fitment?

I'm looking to buy a set of stock SS wheels in solid 5 spoke to replace my split spoke wheels on my RS model. Car is in shop right now, so was wondering if a 2017 SS model wheels will fit a RS with 20" wheels. I think (per Tirerack) that front is 20x9 and rear is 20x10.5's. Can anyone confirm?

I have brand new tires on the current RS ones I'd like to use on the SS as well so wondering about tire size differences so it hinges on wheel width I guess.

Also, anyone know offset on a RS and SS? Guy has rims and tires (no tread) for $550. Sounds too good to be true but we'll see if they fit first...

Ok, upon more searching rear of SS is 9.5" wide with same offset hub outward but 1" deeper inside hub (behind wheel well). I don't thinnk it will work being mine are 8.5" rear and his is 9.5" rear... But's it's only 1" deeper inside. Maybe body is same so it may fit though.

I can get rear tires another time and go ahead and buy wheels but not sure if a 9.5" will fit inside the car wheel wells.

Can anyone confirm? Or has anyoone done this?

TireRack is wrong if they say that. RS cars can receive stock SS spec wheels and tires, in fact, that's what they already have. 8.5" front, 9.5" rear wheels, 245/40/20 front and 275/35/20 rear tires.

In other words, you'll be fine.

Thank you! I saw that guide but unsure. My car is in shop right now but mechanic says I have same tires size front and rear tho. Dealer put them on so it may not be correct tires in rear? 245/40r20's all around. Just confirmed its same rear with him too.

The wheels will fit. If the wheels don’t come with TPMS sensors then you’ll have to buy them or swap them from your current wheels.

From the factory, the RS wheels and tires are the same (aka square) set-up of 20x8.5 with 245/40-20s.

Any wheel available on ANY Camaro will directly bolt up without issue as long as you are going up in wheel size as clearly the smaller wheels won't necessarily bolt up to an SS/ZL1 due to the brakes.

RS models generally already have the 20" wheels so usually nothing much changes aside from the tires getting a little wider. I know with the 5th gen the RS and SS shared the same rim size/width. Generally, the exception to this would be the 1LE and ZL1 model rims...

Thanks guys. Guy ended up misrepresenting the wheels as perfect so no go on these.

But thanks for the information. I will know next time around. Thanks again everyone.

Something to consider, is that you could always get them powdercoated, which would allow you the chance to do something with color or a chromed color.

Actually, the base 18x8.5 wheels even fit over SS 1LE brakes just fine. I have them on my 1LE right now for winter. Not sure about the ZL1s, though, as their brakes are different.

To the OP, I agree with the others: the SS wheels will fit an RS fine. There's no difference in body work or suspension that would cause any problems. In fact, you can even run SS 1LE sized wheels (20x10 et20 front and 20x11 et43 rear) with no problem. Those are both easy-button fitments if you stay with the tire sizes that came on those wheels.
