Kooks short tube headers

Has anyone installed kooks short tube headers on a 16+ camaro ss with Borla ATAK axle backs? If so is there a decent sound difference before and after the headers?

Headers can be a PITA, they leak and burn wires. Don't do them just for sound.

The OEM exhaust is short tube headers from the factory so I doubt that Kooks short tube headers will make much difference. There are sound clips for the Borla exhaust on the internet that might help you compare to your current exhaust.

I wouldn't go through the hassle for shorty headers. The gain(or lack there of) vs the time/labor to instill them wouldn't be worth it.

Short tube headers do not worth it. Only long tube headers would make a difference.

Like everyone else is saying, if you just want a difference in sound then don't bother with short tubes. Guessing you already have the Atak axle backs, so adding an x pipe will make a pretty big difference. If you have completely stock exhaust then a full catback exhaust would be the right move.

You will be replacing short tubes for short tubes. Skip it.

19+ SS comes with a stock X pipe already tho, for auto ones, $1200 for an AFM version x-pipe is not worth it i feel

Replacing the x pipe (or full catback) with an aftermarket one that doesn't have secondary cats will make it louder.
