Gen 5 ZL1 seats

In the Gen 5 ZL1 which seats do you prefer the Recaros or the standard ZL1 seats? Which is more comfortable for daily driving and for the occasional road trip?

The Gen 5 Recaros are the best Camaro Seats of all of the generations of the model.

I have had several Z's without the recaro's but the one I have now has them. I must say I really like them. Plus when you open the door they look very impressive [my opinion] than the regular seats. Some like them and some do not but I do. As far as comfort I think they are fine. I drove my car on a almost 500 mile trip and they were as comfortable or more than any of the other vehicles I have. I will add when I was looking for a ZL1 the recaro's was a must have for me and I am sure glad mine has them.

While i do not have a ZL1 I do have the Recaros in my 1LE and I simply love them. They are extremely comfortable.

The standard ZL1 seats are very comfortable and hold you in just fine with the suede inserts. They also have the retro look to them.

The Recaro seats give that added race car look to the ZL1 and hug you like a bear.

I had the standard ZL1 seats for a little bit until I got my Recaro seats, they were very comfortable but nothing compares to the recaro's. Especially if you can find them for a good deal! Paid $700 for mine in perfect condition.

In over 5 decades I have owned some really nice sports cars, however I have never one owned a set of "Recaro seats". I must admit I really liked the looks but never had the money. About two years ago I helped a friend find a 2015 Z28, we drove from coastal NC to the Bowling Green KY area. My friend did not dare to drive the car up onto the trailer and asked if I would. Located in a private development I advised him I wanted to drive around the block so I could get the feel for the clutch/gas/brakes and steering. That was my first time sitting in the Recaro seats, OMG.... I could only wish to have a set, probably at my age it won't happen but I sure do enjoy looking at them.

not a ZL1 but since the seats are the same across all models, i have to chime in and say i LOVE my Recaros. got them a few years ago after finding a local parting out & was able to work out a deal before his car was traded in.

I was sold on Recaro actually after sitting in a former friend's CTS-V. The V's recaros were firm yet comfortable. So it was a no brainer when they were offered for the '14 Camaro. Added with the firmness of the Recaros were the race-car look of the bolsters. I had to have them with my ZL, and to this day I don't regret selecting the option.

I have been looking for Recaros for my car but I have not had any luck. I saw 1 set on Ebay but they had the SS stitching.
