I keep my non-daily drivers on a tender. My batteries typically last around 10 yrs.

https://www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=572142 This forum member went with a slightly more powerful battery (800 CCA versus 760 CCA) and is happy with it so far. As long as the battery you pick is listed as a match for your car then you can use it.

I think I must have set a record with my Kubota Tractor. Bought it new in 2003, battery lasted until last spring! The original battery in my SS is still going strong at slightly over 4 years.

Optima Battery DH6 Group Size H6/LN3 800 CCA This battery should fit and work with your ZL1.

For starting, cold absolutely kills batteries and reduces your cranking amps. I heard something like 20 degrees reduces it by half, but when we are talking -20°F, things can get interesting. I stupidly bought a lower-CCA battery for my Honda Pilot that seemed "enough", but after the first cold spell I couldn't get the damn thing to turn over and I started panicking, as in I had just replaced the battery and now this one was shot! Turned out it was fine (had it tested) and I had to turn off my lights, HVAC and radio...then it would start just fine, the cumulative effect of sucking amps away from starting was obvious, testing out the various draws, so the cold can have a big effect. That said, my Camaro has never given me a hint of trouble. I don't drive it when it's quite that cold, but definitely single digits occasionally. The cranking amps in the Camaro battery seems far more sufficient to crank and deal with various draws at the same time.

It’s at a Canadian Dealership? If so, they should be obligated to replace the battery. In my opinion.
